Assistant Director of Transportation and Operations River View Local Schools

River View Local School District is seeking an Assistant Director of Transportation and Operations. This is a unique leadership‑track role. The ideal candidate will spend their first year partnering closely with our current Director of Transportation and Operations, fully transitioning into the Director role at the conclusion of the one‑year onboarding period.

Job :

Assist the Director of Transportation and Operations to manage the planning, delivery, assessment, compliance and ongoing improvements of the transportation operation as well as daily operational oversight of various capital improvement projects, state mandates and compliance items as assigned by the Superintendent.

• Supervisory experience in some capacity is recommended
• Adhere to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
• Complies with drug‑free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines and procedures
• Ability to establish working relationships with co‑workers and function as a part of a cohesive team
• Effective organizational planning and management skills
• Ability to monitor and manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
• Clear FBI/BCI checks
• If not a school administrator, be willing to work with the administration to develop the department as a whole
• Become a certified bus driver, if not already

Full‑time position with a 240 day contract, salary will be according to experience
