Position:
Assistant Director of Specialized Services
Work year: 11 months
Reports to:
Director of Specialized Services
Serves as the LEA to support special education programs, IEP and 504 processes, staff development, and collaboration with families and district teams. Coordinates meetings, oversees Crisis Prevention Training, evaluates assigned staff, and supports compliance and student services as directed by the Director of Specialized Services.
Essential Functions- Serve as LEA within and outside the district
- Support IEP teams and special education processes
- Coordinate and facilitate 504 Plan and IEP meetings
- Lead Crisis Prevention Training and ensure staff compliance
- Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff
- Evaluate and support assigned staff members
- Collaborate with administration, staff, and families to support student needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Specialized Services
- Type 75 / Director of Special Education Endorsement preferred
- Minimum of five years of educational experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to travel within and outside the district for IEP meetings

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to read small print.
- The employee must frequently bend, reach above the head, as well as forward, and use fine motor skills.
- Salary Range: $80,000, with some flexibility based on the candidate's background.
- Recommended hire will be subject to pre‑employment screenings.
