Job Overview
This executive‑level position is accountable for all safety, quality, operational, financial, and caregiver engagement processes and outcomes for a large complex community hospital. The role provides site leadership for 18 to 20 service lines, oversees approximately 500 caregivers, and manages about $36M in expenses.
Responsibilities- Provide operational leadership aligned with Intermountain Healthcare’s vision and goals, balancing short‑term and long‑term objectives.
- Ensure departments adhere to hospital quality programs, with ongoing monitoring of patient care quality.
- Establish and maintain quality control programs and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, state rules, regulations, and federal guidelines.
- Oversee operational and capital budgets, providing oversight and strategic budgeting guidance.
- Evaluate, facilitate, and direct improvement initiatives in operations, service standards, and resource utilization to achieve efficient outcomes.
- Facilitate collaborative problem solving across interdepartmental disciplines.
- Achieve operational results through strategic thinking, maintaining a customer focus, building relationships, developing staff, and motivating teams.
- Monitor and report on patient experience, inspiring managers to meet or exceed patient experience expectations.
- Build and enhance employee engagement within the manager’s area of accountability.
- Work effectively with support staff and key departments to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Partner with other leaders for emergency preparedness, facility oversight, strategic planning, best‑practice initiatives, benchmarking, and integrated delivery system efforts.
- Lead and advise end‑to‑end process improvement teams, communicating outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and complete special projects assigned by the Hospital Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare from an accredited institution.
- Three years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated success with operational outcomes and physician relationships.
- Master’s degree in business or a related healthcare field from an accredited institution.
- Intermountain Operating Model training and evidence of use in practice.
- Experience with Intermountain Healthcare’s Physician Contracting.
- Interact with others by effectively communicating orally and in writing.
- Operate computers and other office equipment requiring finger and hand movement.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods while working on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

40 hours
Hourly Rate: $59.50 - $91.84 (actual rate based on experience)
