Overview
This job leads strategic projects leveraging project management, change management, and process improvement core capabilities. The incumbent manages individual projects through the entire project lifecycle, ensures project progress and success, develops a communications strategy, and serves as an instructor and coach for organizational leaders through departmental training programs.
Key Responsibilities- Actively lead project efforts through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
- Develop and enable an effective project communication strategy through active communications with project stakeholders and the program manager.
- Serve as instructor for strategic program management training programs.
- Conduct coaching/consulting engagements leveraging project management, change management, and process improvement core capabilities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, finance, public health, health care administration, or related field.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields.
- Work Experience
Required:
5 years in a relevant field such as healthcare operations, finance, industrial engineering, and/or organizational development, with at least 1 year in project management / change management / process improvement / healthcare experience; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree. - Certifications Preferred: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt or Master Change Agent).
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, organization skills, group facilitation, decision‑making, and delegating skills.
- Self‑directed, able to work independently, set project priorities, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong sense of personal accountability for work.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
This role is classified as Light Work. The incumbent may be required to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly. The position involves walking or standing to a significant degree and may require pushing and/or pulling of small arm or leg controls. Exposure to hazardous chemicals or waste is possible but limited to handling, transport, storage, and disposal under standard safety protocols.
