Job Description Summary
Directs, coordinates, and manages all practice functions. Responsible for practice operations, financial accounting activities, operating and capital budgets, implements and supports MSF policies and procedures. Works effectively with physicians and other care providers to assure timely and thorough communication and practice efficiencies. Provides education and coaching support to staff and acts as a role model in support of the Ohio Health Mission Statement.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- 60% – Daily Operational Management and Human Resource responsibilities including hiring, evaluating and annual performance reviews, promotion, dismissal, coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, growth and development; determining appropriate staffing levels and maintaining employee schedules for fiscal responsibility with overtime; managing staff payroll and HR records; creating, overseeing, training and implementing patient services policies and procedures; resolving and managing patient complaints and requests for service immediately and courteously;
engaging staff in adjusting clinical workflows to ensure highly efficient patient care; managing monthly financials including accounts payable and accounts receivable; managing inventory and purchasing in accordance with budget; preparing preliminary capital and human resources budgets; ensuring timely capture and input of all billing information; managing practice equipment maintenance needs; overseeing and approving maintenance agreements and service contracts with the director;
assisting the director in managing contractual agreements; providing on‑site IT support and/or ordering and overseeing IT work required of outside vendors; applying and implementing upgrades; coordinating safety, security, customer service, HIPAA, risk management, compliance and code training; overseeing building repairs and practice construction projects; reviewing and enforcing regulatory compliance, building safety and code regulations; assessing the need for physician services at practice locations;
managing physician schedule of professional and ancillary services; serving as a point of contact for physician paperwork, meeting requests, billing reconciliation; serving as a liaison between physicians, associates and organizational leaders. - 30% – Performance Management: monitoring patient satisfaction data and making appropriate improvements; investigating financial variances to budget and making recommendations on improving monthly variances; assisting the Director with practice specific long‑range financial and business planning, capital and operating budgets; meeting annual goal deployment metrics as assigned; developing and executing plans to improve outcomes; providing and reviewing monthly physician and practice performance data with all providers;
working with director, marketing and business development to market and grow practice. - 10% – Organizational Transformation: translating and educating staff on organizational strategy and vision; communicating and executing organizational change initiatives within the practice; serving on committees to optimize performance; piloting, implementing and championing new programs, services and processes; enhancing operational effectiveness and cost containment through continued innovation without compromising quality of care.

Healthcare or Business Administration or related field required;
Master’s Degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of related health care Experience preferably in an ambulatory care setting including 5 years of supervision or management Experience. A minimum of 10 years of health care management Experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting, may be substituted in lieu of requirements in certain circumstances.
