Ops Manager, Hauling

Responsibilities

• Manage collections activities for commercial, industrial and residential customers
• Lead a team of Operations Supervisors, Dispatchers, Operations Clerks, Drivers and Helpers
• Collaborate with General Manager and other managers to execute local market strategy
• Ensure compliance with operating standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee safety and accident prevention programs
• Manage budget for operations department

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience or participation in Republic Services’ management trainee program
• Experience in transportation or waste management
• Proven ability to drive employee engagement and performance
• Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking
• Ability to lead change initiatives
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking and decision-making skills
