** What you will do
** The Process Manager is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving business processes that drive safe, efficient, and predictable execution of operational and capital activities across the organization. This role serves as the owner of project delivery processes, equipment lifecycle transition processes, and project governance standards, ensuring consistency from project initiation through commissioning, operational handoff, and asset retirement.
The Process Manager leads the Project Coordination Team and provides oversight for projects exceeding $50,000, ensuring adherence to standardized processes, risk management practices, resource planning requirements, and performance objectives. This position partners with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Safety, and Leadership to optimize workflows, improve organizational performance, and deliver sustainable business results.
** How you will do it
**** Process Management & Continuous Improvement
*** Develop, implement, and maintain standardized business processes, workflows, procedures, and governance frameworks across departments.
* Serve as the process owner for project execution, asset transition, and operational readiness activities.
* Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and gaps through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and performance reviews.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, schedule adherence, cost control, and operational efficiency.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure process effectiveness and drive accountability.
* Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action planning to address recurring operational and project challenges.
* Ensure process documentation remains accurate, current, and aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Promote a culture of standardization, discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
** Small Projects Management
*** Provide leadership and oversight for all capital and operational projects valued at $50,000.
* Establish and maintain project management standards, requirements, and project execution methodologies.
* Ensure projects follow approved processes for scope development, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, procurement, execution, and closeout.
* Review project performance metrics and ensure corrective actions are implemented when project objectives are at risk.
* Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure resources, priorities, and project deliverables support organizational goals.
* Monitor project portfolios and provide leadership with visibility into project health, risks, constraints, and opportunities.
* Drive consistency in project planning, scheduling, reporting, change management, and documentation practices.
** Project Coordination Team Leadership
*** Lead and develop the Project Coordination Team to ensure consistent application of project management processes and standards.
* Establish performance expectations, workload priorities, and development plans for team members.
* Ensure project controls, schedules, documentation, reporting, and communication practices are executed accurately and consistently.
* Provide coaching and direction to improve team effectiveness, accountability, and process compliance.
* Foster collaboration between project coordinators, engineers, operations personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Identify opportunities to improve team workflows, reporting systems, and execution processes.
** Asset Transition, Commissioning & Decommissioning Management
*** Own the processes governing equipment and asset transitions throughout their lifecycle, including installation, commissioning, startup, operational handoff, shutdown, replacement, and decommissioning.
* Develop and maintain standardized commissioning, startup, turnover, and decommissioning procedures.
* Ensure operational readiness requirements are completed prior to equipment startup and project closeout.
* Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure seamless transitions between project execution and operational ownership.
* Verify all commissioning activities are completed, documented, and validated prior to asset acceptance.
* Lead decommissioning planning efforts to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements.
* Manage risks associated with equipment transitions and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruption.
* Ensure training materials, operating procedures, maintenance documentation, spare parts requirements, and turnover packages are completed before equipment handoff.
* Monitor lessons learned from commissioning and decommissioning activities and incorporate improvements into future processes.
