Job OverviewThe Operations Manager is responsible for the operational activities of multiple functional departments, distribution centers, and facilities. The role involves reviewing and analyzing reports, coordinating with managers, and making data‑driven decisions to support planning activities such as commitments, work in progress, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage receiving, storage, and shipping of materials or finished goods, ensuring proper vendor receipt, inventory placement, and production readiness.
- Maintain security and accountability of materials and goods through inventory control.
- Evaluate current procedures, develop and implement improved practices, and provide work direction, problem resolution, and deadline setting.
- Monitor and analyze costs, prepare budgets, and ensure local operations stay within expense plans.
- Attract, engage, and develop employees at all levels; build bench strength, plan succession, and manage labor, turnover, and diversity issues.
- Lead training initiatives for management and staff, coach direct reports, and foster a creative, productive work environment.
- Collaborate with regional and local management to align strategic initiatives and implement best practices.
- Coordinate cross‑functional partnerships with HR, engineering, Six Sigma, finance, and transportation teams.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and safety regulations; prepare for internal and external audits.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6+ years of relevant professional experience and 0‑2 years of supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Operations/Distribution/Pharma Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Financial and business acumen, including key financial statement drivers.
- Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and promote innovation.
- Experience with DEA regulation compliance and Florida Designated Representative license (if applicable).
- Strong PC skills; proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other McKesson applications.
- Experience with warehouse management systems;
Six Sigma training or continuous improvement experience. - Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Work in multiple environments including office and warehouse; must be willing to work various hours to manage a 24‑hour distribution center schedule.
Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: $68,300 – $113,800, commensurate with performance, experience, and skills. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus or long‑term incentive opportunities.
