Position: DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION CONTINUUM

Director of Education Continuum

Covington, KY

Position Function & Principal Activities
  • Organizational Leadership:
    Act as an organization-wide leader, as part of the leadership team, for successful mission delivery, in alignment with our vision, mission, and values, for all staff, partners, candidates/members, and the communities that we serve.
  • Strategic Leadership:
    Proactively collaborate across all functions, departments, and locations, and at all levels of the organization, to successfully execute our strategic initiatives to achieve our strategic vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Assist VP of Operations to develop, implement and manage strict operating policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness of our operations.
  • Functional Leadership:
    Proactively lead, manage, and continuously improve the overall function and processes of Care, balancing both long-term impact and short-term performance.
  • Lead the development, implementation and oversight of all curricula and materials based on the mission of the Life Learning Center.
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement and delivery of instructional programming through defined core curricula.
  • Develop the performance benchmarks and outcome measures to determine curriculum effectiveness and report on results.
  • Work as part of the senior management team to create an effective environment for quality and excellence in delivery of all services provided by the Center.
  • Address class disruptions or performance issues leading disciplinary case conference to address and implement a course correction plan for the Candidate/Member.
  • Oversee and address Candidate discipline and appeals.
  • Ensure policies in instruction, Candidate satisfaction, attendance and Candidate success are being followed by instructors, volunteers and Candidates.
  • Execute the ongoing evaluation process of classroom instructors to measure instructor effectiveness.
  • Conduct ongoing, group and individualized professional development for instructors to ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work with the other Directors and Program Coordinator for planning, scheduling, and logistics for all programs.
  • Coordinate with other LLC Directors to ensure the mission of LLC is being implemented.
  • Other duties as assigned by Vice President of Operations and/or President.
Skills
  • A strong personal commitment to service and contribution to the candidates to be served.
  • Proven Management history, ability to organize, lead, direct, and hold accountable.
  • Willingness to recruit, to manage and direct a high-level Volunteer Faculty and staff.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience working in a leadership capacity at an executive level with diverse groups.
  • Ability to conceive, develop and complete tasks without close supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written English grammar and communication skills, including on short notice; negotiation skills; and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Computer competency and proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office environment.
  • Minimum education includes a bachelor’s degree and prefer a master’s degree or equivalent military or other experience.

Accountability: Director of Education Continuum reports directly to the VP of Operations.
