Operator - Packaging Machine

Job Details

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:30am Pay $21.00 not including shift differential.

• Verify and prepare repackaging material and equipment for production run.
• Responsible for packaging machine set up and changeovers for production runs, following work instructions and SOPs.
• Operate packaging equipment, troubleshoot and make adjustments in accordance with work standards.
• Follow escalation protocol promptly when troubleshooting efforts fail.
• Repackage raw material into finished product that meets packaging specifications and all quality standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance when escalation to maintenance support is needed for mechanical issues.
• Clean and sanitize production room and equipment.
• Use batch record information and basic mathematical skills to record and prepare accurate, complete information.
• Engage in technical training, compliance and other required training as an operations team member.
• Adhere to cGMPs, safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Work as a team member to meet or exceed quality and production goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with supporting areas such as quality to resolve issues preventing operational goals.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

• Read, write and understand English to read documents, labels and instructions.
• Good written skills for accurate compliance documentation.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
• Basic problem solving capabilities for troubleshooting.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
