Position: Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
  • Document and calculate results accurately.
  • Take corrective action when necessary, such as alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non‑conforming products, and reporting results to management.
  • Handle additional assignments as requested.
Shift & Pay

This position works the 3rd Shift. It pays $25.50 per hour and is paid weekly.

Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements
  • Environment:
    Normal for a food manufacturing setting.
  • Lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds.
  • Use of steel‑toed work boots, hard hats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.
  • Restrictions: cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.
  • Regularly work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from 30–90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Work in wet environment; repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
  • Reach high and low levels frequently; climb step ladders or stairs.
  • Stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day; work overtime, weekends as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to perform all physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Position requires Lock Out/Tag Out certification.
Requirements
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the food manufacturing industry or related Quality Assurance experience.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special

    Skills:

    Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate hourly workforce.
  • Problem identification and problem‑solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Function well under stress; flexibility to work where and when needed.
