Overview

A precision manufacturing company in Warren is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their growing team. This role focuses on high‑mix, low‑volume production where accuracy and craftsmanship matter. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and confident in setups, measurement, and tooling adjustments.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision metal components.
  • Work primarily with HAAS mills and lathes (experience preferred, but similar controls acceptable).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations.
  • Perform tool offsets, change tools, and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and tight tolerances.
  • Inspect and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain part quality within specified tolerances of ±.001.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues related to tooling, fixturing, and dimensional control.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to improve efficiency and product consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on CNC machining experience required.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficient with measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Must understand tool offsets, setups, and tool changes.
  • HAAS experience strongly preferred (other platforms acceptable with transferable skills).
  • CNC certification preferred; may be waived with 5+ years of proven machining experience.
  • Experience with metal removal processes such as milling, turning, and grinding a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP routing, BOMs, or AutoCAD is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
