Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician / Programmer to join our manufacturing team in a modern fabrication environment. This position is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of advanced sheet metal fabrication equipment used to produce high-quality precision components for industrial equipment applications.
Responsibilities- Operate and support production activities on laser cutting systems, press brake equipment, lissmac deburring machinery, and Haeger PEM insertion equipment.
- Perform manual deburring, tapping, and secondary finishing operations.
- Program and nest sheet metal components for laser production.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and fabrication prints.
- Verify part quality using standard inspection tools and measurement equipment.
- Perform machine setup adjustments and tooling changes.
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Help load and unload laser systems.
- Tap parts to meet printed specifications.
- Insert PEMs into sheet-metal parts per prints.
- Move both raw and finished materials to defined locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1 year in manufacturing production environment; preferable a machine or fabrication job shop.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Prior use of pneumatic air tools.
- Ability to move material at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
