About Us
We're automating homebuilding. Our robotic Micro Factory produces full-scale framing panels directly on the construction site — wall panels, floor panels, roof panels — manufactured on demand, in sync with the build. No large factory. No trucking. No delays.
We've built technology that works and deployed it on real construction sites. As we expand to new partners across the US, we’re looking for the person who's going to run the Micro Factory.
🪵The Role
You're the technical backbone of every Micro Factory deployment. When something goes wrong, you're the one who fixes it. When a new site goes live, you commission it. While the Micro Factory Production Manager keeps panels moving, you keep the systems running.
This isn't a desk job. You'll be on active construction sites across the US, working directly on live automated systems. You'll also work closely with AUAR's product development team — not just feeding back issues, but actively helping shape solutions as we build operational maturity together.
At the end of a good week, the Micro Factory will have run at full capacity, the Production Manager will be more capable than before, and the product team will have clear, actionable intelligence from the field.
🤸🏾♀️This might be you if
- You're happiest with your hands on a system or a machine - diagnosing, fixing, and improving, not watching from a distance
- When something breaks, you size the problem with data before jumping to a solution, and you fix the cause not just the symptom
- You're comfortable working autonomously on a customer site without hand-holding - you represent AUAR professionally in the field
- You write clearly and precisely - your reports give engineers something they can actually act on
- You're curious: you want to understand why something failed, not just get it running again
- You thrive in an early-stage environment where the playbook is still being written and your input shapes how things evolve
What you'll do day-to-day
Commission & deploy -
Set up Micro Factory systems at new construction sites - configuring mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, and software systems, validating performance against benchmarks, and handing it over to the Production Manager ready to produce.
Keep systems running -
Monitor OEE across Micro Factory deployments against targets. Plan & perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and calibrations. Resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and software faults rapidly and independently — you should handle the large majority without escalation. Manage spare parts inventory to prevent supply-driven downtime.
Optimise for availability and quality -
Your primary outcomes are Micro Factory availability and panel output quality. You're not responsible for running the machine day-to-day — that's the Production Manager's job — but you are responsible for making sure it's always capable of running at its best.
Work closely with product development -
In the early stage of AUAR's growth, you'll be a close partner to the product team — embedded in the solution process, not just reporting problems. Bring structured field data, failure patterns, and improvement ideas. Participate in problem-solving sessions. Help test and validate hardware and software updates before they go live on site.
Support and develop Production Managers -
Train operators on the Micro Factory, build their confidence for first-line troubleshooting, and be their technical escalation point when issues go beyond their scope.
Collaborate with customers -
Build professional working relationships with GC superintendents, framing foremen, and site safety managers. Ensure Micro Factory operations fit within site safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
Between deployments
When you're not on site, you're building readiness for what's next:
- Structured debrief sessions with the product development team
- Reviewing and restocking spares inventory
- Planning and preparing upcoming commissions
- Getting ahead of forthcoming software and hardware updates
Certifications
We'll train you on the Micro Factory + Master Builder technology and support you through relevant certifications, including:
- OSHA 10 & 30-Hour Construction
- Forklift Truck
