About the RoleAs a Laser Operator, you’ll run laser cutting machines and use nesting software to lay out parts on metal sheets. You’ll read blueprints, measure parts for accuracy, and help keep production running smoothly. There is a $5 shift differential pay for night shift.
What You’ll Do- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut, trim, or form metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Feed materials into and/or remove materials from laser equipment.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Program, troubleshoot, and adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness.
- Inspect equipment and materials for defects and ensure proper functioning.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet high standards.
- Operate forklifts and cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Laser operation experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools and performing quality inspections
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and manufacturing principles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with machine programming
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks

- $5/hour night shift differential
