We’re hiring a Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on concrete batch plants and related equipment, including trucks and loaders. This role supports plant operations and may involve equipment operation as needed.

This role supports plant operations across the area, with travel between locations as needed during the workday.

This is a full‑time, year‑round position based in Pettisville, Ohio and surrounding areas

What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on concrete batch plants, mixers, conveyors, and related equipment
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Maintain and repair trucks, loaders, and mobile equipment
  • Operate a front‑end loader to manage aggregate bins and stockpiles
  • Operate a concrete batch plant when needed to ensure accurate production
  • Monitor plant performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and dispatch to minimize downtime
  • Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues
  • Maintain regular in‑person attendance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Ability to safely access and navigate plant facilities, including climbing ladders
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

    Willingness to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require
What You Bring
  • Strong mechanical aptitude in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
  • Welding and burning skills
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, such as front‑end loaders
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with concrete plants, aggregate operations, or similar industrial equipment preferred
