Job Summary
A Braider Machine Operator is responsible for operating a variety of braiding machines. The operator is expected to perform quality work in a safe manner within a production standard, interact professionally with coworkers, work effectively within a functional group, and work independently while communicating and coordinating with other employees and departments.
General Duties and Responsibilities Machine Operation- Move from station to station operating various winders.
- Operate coating machines.
- Prep and pack product for shipment.
- Ensure quality standards meet material specifications.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Work hours are 40 hours per week – 2nd shift or 3rd shift, possibly one weekend day.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Hearing protection is required.
- The use of a pair of scissors is required. Appropriate PPE will be assigned as required, including hearing protection, and the wearing of either a hat or hairnet.
- Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete for an entire shift.
- Ability to work with hands and arms above shoulder height.
- Ability to bend or squat occasionally.
- Ability to perform highly repetitive motions with hands and wrists.
- Additional $2/hour for 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Additional $1/hour for working each weekend day.
- $1.25/hour increase after training certification.
