2nd shift Offset Operator (M-TH 3pm-1am)

The 2nd shift Offset Operator sets up, adjusts, operates, and maintains offset press equipment on the 3pm–1am shift. This role requires thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, and safety requirements.

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment
• Perform all make-ready tasks for the specific press, including hanging plates or installing cylinders, inspecting plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking image positioning; prep blankets; adjust tension and register
• Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specifications
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs and replace worn or broken parts as required
• Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer

• Requires knowledge of running a KBA offset press
• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials
• Skill to set controls and perform routine operational maintenance of equipment
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
• Knowledge of appropriate packing pressure to obtain proper printing pressure
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly

• Salary range: USD 22.00 - USD 33.00 per hour
