Job Description
We are seeking a Process Metallurgist to join a large metal manufacturing company at their Fostoria facility for a direct hire.
Pay: $90,
Description:
As a Process Metallurgist, you’ll be at the heart of our ongoing process improvements, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our dedicated quality, production, and maintenance teams.
- You will partner with our quality, production, and maintenance teams to enhance our processes, reliability, quality, and efficiency.
- You will play a pivotal role in the ongoing improvements to our annealing process and other continuous improvement projects.
- You will aid in Root Cause Analysis of process-related defects, ensuring the resolution of any issues affecting our final products.
- You will contribute to troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints, utilizing failure analysis and metallographic interpretations to uphold our commitment to best‑in‑class service.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE FROM YOU
- Four-year degree in Materials Engineering or another related technical field.
- Two-plus years in a manufacturing environment.
- Metallurgy and steel manufacturing knowledge, including the use of metallurgical lab equipment.
- Experience in an IATF 16949 or ISO-9000-based quality system.
- Experience in APQP and PPAP processes.
Midsized engineering and manufacturing company with clients worldwide.
