Job OverviewWith 7 facilities covering 10 states, Pioneer sells and services industrial equipment for the power, chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper, food & beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The role of a Valve Technician is to assemble new valves, repair and certify various types of valves in a shop setting and onsite at customer facilities. In‑house training is provided. Pioneer offers opportunities for upward growth.
Responsibilities- Follow all Pioneer Safety and Quality procedures and regulations.
- Operate equipment – overhead hoists, sand blaster, parts washer, propylene torch, etc.
- Disassemble valves without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation Manual.
- Document and enter job data into Valv Keep database and attach photos.
- Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Maintain equipment as required.
- Clean, blast, and paint valve components.
- Return valves/parts to proper bins, boxes, etc.
- Assemble, calibrate, tag, and certify valve per manufacturer’s repair manuals.
- Assist in field assignments if required.
- Climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope.
- Operate a motor vehicle as required.
- Attend job and safety training as necessary or required.
- High school diploma or GED. Desire a technical or trade school degree.
- Ability to learn the trade and experience with hand and power tools.
- Safe working attitude.

- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record per Pioneer driving guidelines.
- Capable of holding a forklift operation certificate.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
