Overview

Senior FLIGHT DECK Leader at GE Aerospace’s Additive Technology Center. Seeking an experienced lean practitioner to lead lean initiatives in an NPI environment and develop strategy for future facility outlook. The role drives cultural transformation, improves operational metrics, and collaborates directly with the Site Leader and leadership staff on lean strategy implementation. Key skills include project management, influencing, and creativity while maintaining GE corporate standards.

• Drive a comprehensive FLIGHT DECK strategy for the ATC, focusing on top constraint areas that affect delivery or inventory and using problem‑solving techniques to proactively resolve them.
• Form strategy to integrate corporate/IPT goals and objectives into the ATC.
• Assess bottlenecks and constraints within the Value Stream and create action plans to remove them.
• Achieve improvement goals in cost, productivity, safety, quality, and delivery for the ATC.
• Lead process improvements and standardization using lean principles and Six Sigma.
• Support manufacturing facilities in industrializing additive manufacturing supply‑chain processes.
• Develop and partner on lean solutions with other IPT leadership to transition products to high‑volume production facilities.
• Lead Kaizen events from conception through sustainment.
• Develop and administer training for ATC personnel.
• Mentor and coach Lean Specialists and practitioners.
• Promote professional growth and inclusive, collaborative teaming with timely feedback.
• Apply continuous learning by seeking best practices from external and internal communities.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (plus an additional 5 years of relevant experience).
• Extensive Lean Manufacturing background within a plant and operational managerial experience from a production/manufacturing setting.
• Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
• Hands‑on experience implementing change projects.
• Aptitude for understanding complex manufacturing processes, ideally TRL/MRL process experience.
• Experience with additive technology/manufacturing.
• Additional practical experience in Six Sigma and/or a digital environment.
• Ability to identify and drive sustainable process changes to optimize business outcomes.
• Established project‑management skills and the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to train and motivate others.
• Demonstrated change leadership.
