The highly analytical and collaborative Data Marketer will support performance optimization and integrated marketing insights within our regional bank’s marketing team. Reporting to the Marketing & Brand Manager, this role will serve as lead in connecting insights across campaigns, channels, and customer segments to improve marketing effectiveness and drive measurable growth.
Performance Marketing Support & Optimization- Serve as key internal data marketing partner for ad agency and direct mail vendors.
- Analyze performance across digital and local marketing channels (paid search, social, display, email, partnerships, and community campaigns)
- Track and optimize key metrics such as cost per account, application conversion rates, CAC, LTV and campaign ROI
- Provide recommendations to the Marketing & Brand Manager on how to improve performance, messaging and budget allocation
- Support campaign testing, including audience targeting, messaging variations, and channel mix
- Manage audience data, segmentation frameworks, and data flows across systems
- Bring together data from multiple marketing programs (digital, branch, CRM, and brand campaigns) into a clear, unified performance view
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities across campaigns to inform strategy and planning
- Translate analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for a non-technical marketing audience
- Contribute to building a test-and-learn culture within the marketing team
- Analyze the full customer journey, from awareness and acquisition through onboarding and retention
- Support segmentation efforts to identify high-value customer groups within local and regional markets
- Provide insights to Sales Enablement Manager to improve cross-sell and product adoption (checking, savings, loans, credit products)
- Help optimize marketing efforts to deepen customer relationships and increase lifetime value
- Develop and maintain regular reporting dashboards tracking campaign and channel performance
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries for the Marketing & Brand Manager and leadership
- Ensure consistency in KPI definitions and measurement across campaigns and reporting
- Forecast performance and support planning for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal demand
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to tools and systems to improve efficiency and scalability
- Ensure data collection and reporting practices align with banking regulations and privacy requirements
- Support proper tracking, tagging, and data accuracy across marketing systems
- Partner with internal teams (compliance, IT, vendors) to maintain responsible marketing data usage
- 4–8+ years of experience in marketing analytics, performance marketing, or data analysis in the financial industry or highly-regulated industry
- Experience with attribution models, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, or broader marketing effectiveness measurement
- Experience working within marketing teams (agency, in-house, or financial services preferred)
- Experience working across multiple datasets and systems
- High accuracy in reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel, and SQL)
- Ability to synthesize data and communicate insights clearly and effectively
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Experience with attribution models, A/B testing, or campaign experimentation
- Experience in regional banking, credit unions, or financial services
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools
- Understanding of local market dynamics and community-focused marketing
- May be eligible for Telecommuting
High School or better.
