Position Summary

The Student Success & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting MBA and MS Business Analytics student development through a combination of academic advising, experiential learning, and community-based programming. This position is responsible for delivering student success support while leading key initiatives that connect students to meaningful, real-world experiences, including the MBA Nonprofit Board Fellows Program and the program’s community engagement and volunteer requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities Student Advising & Success (40%)
  • Provide individualized advising and coaching to MBA students, supporting academic planning, engagement, and overall student success.
  • Guide students in aligning co-curricular involvement, leadership development, and community engagement with personal and professional goals.
  • Monitor student engagement and progress, intervening as appropriate and connecting students to campus resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of advising interactions and student participation in experiential learning programs.
Nonprofit Board Fellows Program Leadership (25%)
  • Lead the MBA Nonprofit Board Fellows Program, including partner identification, student selection, onboarding, and ongoing support.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with nonprofit organizations, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to students serving on nonprofit boards to maximize learning and impact.
  • Assess program outcomes and recommend enhancements to strengthen student experience and community impact.
Community Engagement & Volunteer Requirement Management (20%)
  • Design, implement, and manage the MBA program’s volunteer requirement, including tracking participation and ensuring completion.
  • Identify and develop community engagement opportunities that align with program values and student interests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local nonprofit and community organizations to expand volunteer and service-learning opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of service and civic engagement within the MBA program.
Programming & Experiential Learning Initiatives (10%)
  • Support the design and delivery of student development programming focused on leadership, service, and community impact.
  • Collaborate with Student Engagement, Career Management, and Academic Affairs to integrate experiential learning opportunities into the student experience.
  • Assist in planning and execution of events related to student engagement, community partnerships, and experiential learning.
Data Tracking, Assessment & Continuous Improvement (5%)
  • Track student participation and outcomes related to advising, volunteer engagement, and Board Fellows programming.
  • Analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
