About the Opportunity

Ready for a life-changing year of service? Join our Ameri Corps program this summer to help nonprofits throughout Kentucky end the threat of homelessness and provide affordable housing solutions for everyone!

Homes for All Ameri Corps program provides the perfect opportunity to gain resume-boosting skills while helping families and households secure and maintain safe, healthy, affordable housing. An Ameri Corps position can also work as a practicum placement.

HOMES, Inc. is seeking (1) Ameri Corps Volunteers in a housing services positions.

Ameri Corps Volunteers commit to a one-year term of service beginning in September and serve 1700 hours by August 31st, 2027. Volunteers receive a living allowance of $20,400, money for college or student loans in the amount of $7,445, health insurance, childcare assistance (if income eligible), loan forbearance, student loan interest payments, training, and professional and personal development.

Activities
  • Client Paperwork and Support: obtain necessary documentation needed for services, referrals, or programs.
  • Intake and Assessment: complete intake process with new clients to assess housing needs and make referrals when appropriate.

Other Information

Qualifications
  • Willingness to provide information to complete and undergo a National Service Criminal History Check
  • Be at least 17 years of age at the start of service
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Willingness to travel periodically
