Psychiatric/DD Nurse Full Time 15% Recruitment Supplement And 10% Supplement for 2nd shift

Under the direction of the Psych/DD Nurse Manager, performs general nursing and psychiatric care, including the administration of physician‑ordered medication and treatments; assists in physical examinations; obtains and records vital signs; documents medication administration and observations; observes, evaluates, and records client behavior and psychiatric symptoms; assists in feeding, grooming, and self‑care; evaluates client and staff injuries and administers and records first aid as indicated;

responds to medical emergencies with life‑saving measures including cardiopulmonary resuscitation; serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team; collaborates with the client’s physician to develop functional client health needs assessment and nursing plan of care for assigned caseload; develops, implements, and evaluates client self‑medication programs; provides health teaching to family and clients; assists in orienting and training new nursing employees;

conducts and participates in in‑service training sessions; provides clinical oversight to Licensed Practical Nurses assigned during the same working hours; provides written input on Unusual Incident Reports; completes nursing department shift reports of client health conditions to ensure continuity of care.

Requires current license as a registered professional nurse in state of Ohio; knowledge of professional nursing procedures; psychiatric or developmentally disabled nursing; employee training and development; state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to nursing; public relations counseling; skill in operation of medical equipment; ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables; ability to write meaningful, concise, accurate reports; physical fitness.

The prior experience in psychiatric or developmental nursing may be developed after employment.

$34.96 - $48.90 per hour.

• Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Additional $3.50 per hour for assigned 2nd and 3rd shift
• Additional hourly recruitment supplement $5.24 per hour
• Annual increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service
• Cost of living increases every July 1st per the current 1199 bargaining unit contract

1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., 4 days per week. Every other weekend off.
