Staff RN - Obstetrics Unit; night

Job Description Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings (24/7/365). The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Delegates nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs per Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

• Assessment/Diagnosis:
  Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment (30%).
• Outcomes Identification/Planning:
  Documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes (30%).
• Implementation/Evaluation:
  Evaluates and documents response to interventions and revises plan of care as needed (20%).
• Leadership:
  Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%).
• Operations:
  Responsible for operational duties (10%).
• Provides professional nursing care services to patients in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required).
• BLS certification.
• Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio in good standing or multi-state compact license.
• BSN required at 5 years of employment.
