Job Description Summary
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings (24/7/365). The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities and DutiesDelegates nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs per Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- Assessment/Diagnosis:
Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment (30%). - Outcomes Identification/Planning:
Documents planned nursing interventions based on diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes (30%). - Implementation/Evaluation:
Evaluates and documents response to interventions and revises plan of care as needed (20%). - Leadership:
Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%). - Operations:
Responsible for operational duties (10%). - Provides professional nursing care services to patients in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required).
- BLS certification.
- Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio in good standing or multi-state compact license.
- BSN required at 5 years of employment.
