Here’s how you’ll deliver best-in-class care:
The Christ Hospital Health Network Nursing Process
- Assessment – You’ll deliver comprehensive care by assessing the patient’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs utilizing The Christ Hospital Health Network Professional Practice Model – all while continuing to collaborate with your healthcare team
- Diagnosis & Planning – Working closely with the patient and family, you’ll create personalized care plans that prioritize patient needs and goals.
- Implementation – You’ll be providing evidence-based, best-in-class care by educating patients and families, executing well-planned interventions, and utilizing hospital policies and procedures.
- Evaluation – You’ll monitor and adjust care based on patient outcomes and evidence-based practices.
- Leadership & Professional Development – Working closely with your Clinical Manager, you will take an active role in driving improvement and achieving better outcomes through the development and evaluation of Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives. You’ll be an advocate for High Reliability principles to enhance patient care and operational efficiency while using data to fuel progress. You’ll also demonstrate your leadership skills by motivating, educating, delegating, and mentoring peers and team members, while managing patient care effectively.
Licenses & Certifications
- OHIO RN licensure by start date
- BLS required before patient contact.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas.
- Unit specific certifications may be required.
The Women's Health units include:
- Labor & Delivery: The Labor & Delivery unit is a 29‑bed unit handling approximately 3100 deliveries and 2100 ambulatory patients per year. This unit delivers care to a complex range of patients varying in age from newborns to teens, young adults and adults. Within the unit, there are 12 labor and delivery beds, 4 high‑risk beds, 3 post‑op recovery beds, 3 surgical suites and a 4‑bed triage unit.
Patients are triaged, admitted, stabilized, delivered or transferred to a level III facility as appropriate. - Post Partum: The Postpartum unit is responsible for the post‑delivery care of mothers and their infants, low risk antepartum and clean gyn surgeries. Staff on this unit assist with breastfeeding and education while monitoring the healing and recuperation of new mothers. Staff on this unit are also responsible for maintaining the health of the mother and baby while monitoring any complications that arise during the postpartum period and ensure that mothers have a smooth transition from hospital to home.
