Job Overview
An RN will lead patient care using the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and the Scope & Standards of Practice. Responsibilities include delegation, direction, and assistance of team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, cultural sensitivity, and supporting the organization’s nursing philosophy.
Key Duties- Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
- Promote patient satisfaction and employee morale, enhancing the nursing profession.
- Adapt communication style to specific patient populations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Required:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing. - Required:
Minimum of 1 year as a registered nurse.
- Required:
Current state registered nurse (RN) license. - Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. - Preferred:
Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Good judgment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
The role requires occasional lifting of 50–100 lbs, frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs, and constant lifting of 10–20 lbs. The position is physically demanding, involving walking, standing, and exposure to blood and body fluids.
