Day or Night. Position:
Full‑time nursing role in the Resource Team (Med/Surg, Cardiac, Neuro Progressive Care). Shift duration 3‑12 hours.
Position Summary
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and national standards of professional nursing practice. The RN is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by them or by staff under their direction.
Core Functions
Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Review patient history, physical exam, diagnostics, and laboratory data, and report abnormal results to the physician(s) and appropriate caregivers.Formulate a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data. Set realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient, family, and the multidisciplinary team.Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team. Provide care based on physician orders and nursing policies.Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, and revise the plan of care as needed. Monitor progress toward goals and outcomes.Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a timely, legible manner.Provide evidence‑based care and participate in research activities, unit leadership, education, and orientation of staff and patients.Contribute to societal and professional improvement activities, including professional organizations.Supervise staff and departmental workflow as required.Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and community providers to coordinate care.Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license (or temporary/interim/compact). BLS certification required.
- At least one year of acute‑care nursing experience within the past 12 months.
- Experience in the specialty area (Med/Surg, Cardiac, Neuro) is desired.
- Must maintain clinical performance competencies with annual validations.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for home‑health roles (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Professional certification relevant to the specialty area.
- Additional education and/or experience as preferred.
