Northern Kentucky area
Position DescriptionThis practice sees patients in assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, and private homes. They are hiring in the northern Kentucky area and will work with providers during the interview process to ensure a mutually-agreeable geographic coverage area.
The psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) will work with a dedicated panel of geriatric patients. All patients are located in facilities or private homes.
Daily volume varies based upon types of appointments scheduled, patient needs, and number of locations being visited. The PMHNP will have a scheduling team member who creates an efficient schedule for each work day.
Responsibilities- Psychiatric wellness assessments and care
- Prescribing age-specific physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Prescribing pharmacologic treatments
- Diagnosing, treating, and helping patients manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Conducting examinations and interpreting medical history
- Ordering and performing diagnostic tests and/or procedures, when appropriate
- Working with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
The practice uses a mobile-based EHR with AI functionality to reduce administrative time.
Requirements- Kentucky NP license
