Position Overview

Schedule – Fulltime Days

Location – Mayfield, KY

Sign On Bonus – Eligible

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jackson Purchase Medical Center is an 8‑bed unit that emphasizes teamwork and effective communication, providing specialized care to critically ill patients.

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Perform timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Be responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
• One year of ICU experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire.
