Overview
Kaplan North America is seeking Master’s prepared nurses to serve as Travel Nursing Instructors in the Ohio Valley Region. Join a world-leading test-preparation company to help new nursing graduates succeed on the NCLEX exam. This is a PRN, remote/nationwide opportunity with optional benefits. Kaplan provides paid training and ongoing support to develop teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills, while you build your resume and professional network and positively impact local nursing students.
Responsibilities- Maintain high energy levels and engage students to deliver an excellent learning experience.
- Effectively facilitate learning and learner development using Kaplan’s methodology.
- Learn Kaplan’s teaching strategies quickly and apply them in the classroom.
- Facilitate active classroom management and participate in required meetings and professional development sessions.
- MSN or BSN with a Master's degree required.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Weekday availability required.
- Competitive hourly rates between $35-$55 per hour.
- Paid training and preparation time; opportunities for pay increases.
- Established curriculum and seasonal scheduling based on nursing school graduation dates and testing cycles.
- Free or discounted Kaplan courses for qualifying employees or their family members (Gift of Knowledge Program) including Purdue Global’s DNP program.
