Resource Pool RN - ICU Nights

Role: Responsible for providing high-quality, holistic nursing care to critically ill patients across multiple ICU environments, supporting various hospital units as needed.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and prioritize individualized care plans, implement evidence-based interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams using SBAR and handoff processes. Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records and respond swiftly to emergencies. Demonstrate leadership by motivating, mentoring, and participating in professional development activities, including performance improvement and research initiatives. Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills: Valid Ohio RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS within six months of hire. Ability to provide culturally and age-specific care, communicate effectively, and adapt to change. Educational requirements include a BSN within five years for nurses hired after January 2010; advanced degrees like MSN or DNP are optional. No prior experience required, with opportunities for ongoing professional growth, certification, and participation in professional organizations.
