Emergency Veterinarian

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) | Saginaw, MI

A brand-new hospital, built from the ground up for the team that will run it.

Who We Are

EVCC is a rapidly growing group of emergency veterinary hospitals across the Midwest, started by 36 area general practice veterinarians — most of whom are still involved today. We believe in exceptional, around-the-clock care, because emergencies don't just happen 9 to 5, and we take care of our team through continuing education, real promotion paths, and a genuinely supportive culture.

A Brand-New Hospital, Led by a Doctor Who's Invested in You

Our Saginaw location is brand new — purpose-built for emergency medicine, with all-new equipment and generous space to work without tripping over each other during a critical case.

You’ll be led by Dr. Darien McLemore (University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine - 2018), our hands-on Medical Director for Saginaw, with additional mentorship available from multiple Medical Directors across our hospital group and our Chief Veterinary Officer. Whichever stage of your career you’re at, there’s real leadership support behind you.

You’ll also work alongside 15+ staff members bringing a combined 50+ years of veterinary experience, plus a high technician-to-DVM ratio that keeps your focus on patient care, diagnostics, and case investigation.

Position Overview

Our new Saginaw location needs skilled, friendly, and energetic emergency veterinarians ready to provide quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment — collaborating with a highly skilled support team and using advanced diagnostic tools to make confident, critical decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat emergency conditions such as trauma, seizures, and respiratory distress.
  • Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
  • Communicate with compassion and support pet owners.

Qualifications
  • AVMA-accredited DVM degree; state license in good standing or eligible to obtain one.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
Benefits & Support
  • Competitive pay, bonus plan, and relocation allowance
  • Health, vision, and dental from day 1; 401(k) with 4% match
  • Flexible scheduling and disability/life insurance
  • Paid licensure, CE allowance, and VIN/Plumb's Pro memberships
  • Veterinary care discounts for your pets — and so much more!
