This at‑will position is for being a primary supervisor and monitoring dogs inside of the daycare play areas to ensure their safety and well-being. The role includes engaging with dogs through play, exercise, and training activities; feeding and administering medication as directed by their owners; and cleaning and maintaining the daycare facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. A friendly, helpful demeanor and teamwork are essential.
EssentialFunctions
- Supervise and monitor dogs in the daycare play areas to ensure safety and well-being.
- Engage with dogs through play, exercise, and training activities.
- Feed and administer medication to dogs as directed by their owners.
- Clean and maintain the daycare facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Interact with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Non‑Essential FunctionsAssist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working with dogs.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on feet for extended periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
The job requires regularly lifting or pulling up to 15 pounds and occasionally more than 30 pounds, as well as standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, climbing stairs, and walking up to 5 miles during a shift. Activities may occur in a variety of environmental conditions, including adverse weather and extreme temperatures.
