- Design and conduct research in infectious disease forecasting – 70% of time.
- Write scholarly articles and present research at CEID events and external meetings – 15% of time.
- Assist with collaborative projects, including the forecasting working group and CEID initiated research proposals – 15% of time.
The CEID Postdoctoral Scholar will serve as a scientist‑in‑resident, working on research projects with the CEID Infectious Disease Forecasting Working Group, with access to world‑class faculty and technical support. The scholar will write and publish articles, present at workshops and conferences, and may lead an existing working group or form new groups based on research interests.
Minimum Qualifications- PhD in Ecology or a related discipline, relevant to infectious disease research.
- 0–6 years of post‑doctoral experience.
- Strong quantitative skills and background in ecology, evolution, or infectious disease biology.
- Experience in computational modeling or forecasting.
- Published research in relevant journals.
- Travel to and from campus buildings as needed and occasional off‑campus travel for research and conferences.
- Driving required for commuting.
