The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. It is a 16‑week, self‑paced, collaborative training that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences.

- Store Manager coach
- Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your promotion path during the program.
- Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues in the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
- Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market that you work in.
- High school diploma or GED;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market.
- Ability to work a variable schedule based on business needs.
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
Base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary: $18.50 - $23.88. Actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
