Position: Visual Merchandiser (Cincinnati)

Position Summary

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for the overall merchandise presentation in stores, ensuring an exemplary display of all brands and that store teams adhere to DTLR Visual Merchandising standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain compelling merchandise presentations that engage customers and stimulate sales activity.
  • Drive all timelines for retailer seasonal updates and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Complete daily walkthroughs at store using the Workforce Experience app to maintain the highest visual standards.
  • Submit daily photo postings in Workforce Experience app to show before and after work for review by the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Re‑merchandise apparel, footwear, window presentations, in‑store displays, and point‑of‑sale areas to maximize product sell‑through.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager to determine visual needs such as fixtures, lighting, photos, signage, pricing concepts, and execution of critical marketing campaigns.
  • Implement the company’s visual merchandising directives throughout the stores, including specialty concepts with specific vendor compliance.
  • Communicate with Store Manager and District Manager regarding each store’s visual merchandising successes and opportunities.
  • Provide daily concise follow‑through on all merchandising areas via email.
  • Provide in‑the‑moment training to motivate and coach store teams on visual merchandising standards and maintenance.
  • Partner with the Buying Team to understand key merchandising strategies and communicate inventory levels or issues.
  • Partner with the District Manager to hold store team accountable for visual maintenance of the store and assist with executing visual directives.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Retail experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong knowledge of business and excellent command of the English language.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to think strategically, plan and organize effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent professionalism in all situations.
  • Proficient analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to administrative problems, and prioritize work.
  • Results‑driven with critical and creative thinking skills.
  • Project management, time management, analytical and superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, multi‑task, set priorities effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to execute directives with precision and consistency.
Physical Requirements
  • Regular travel by car, plane, or train.
  • Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; ability to talk and hear.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours when required.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: starting at $19 per hour (depending on experience). This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick leave, and company‑paid time off.
