Store Manager

Reports to the District Manager. The Store Manager (SM) leads the day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth and development.

• Lead day‑to‑day store operations to achieve sales and profitability goals.
• Coach, develop, and motivate the store team, fostering a People First environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
• Ensure a best‑in‑class customer experience through training, outreach, and clear expectations.
• Empower staff to resolve customer issues within established parameters and drive high customer service standards.
• Develop strategies to maximize personal and team sales potential while achieving company sales projections and quotas.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement, analyze reports, and implement initiatives that change behaviors to produce results.
• Maintain store visual standards, merchandising, and cleanliness to represent the brand effectively.
• Manage inventory control, purchase orders, and repair department responsibilities to increase profit margins.
• Schedule and staff stores for both opening and closing shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and coaching time.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing development in operations, sales techniques, customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
• Communicate performance expectations, set actionable goals, and monitor progress against desired behaviors.
• Manage compliance with company policies, including safety, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain open communication with team members and management, encouraging participation and idea sharing.
• Respond promptly to management directives, requests for merchandise transfers, inventory reconciliations, and other operational requests.
• Plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines and expectations while working independently and delegating to support team success.

• Education: Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
• Experience: At least 3 years of retail sales experience, OR 2 years of retail sales experience plus a minimum of 1 year of retail management experience. Preference for candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience and Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification.

  Advanced communication skills, proficiency with MS Office and related business tools, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, conflict management, and problem‑solving ability.
• Language: Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Other Requirements: Ability to plan and organize tasks, work independently, set priorities, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines.

Stand, reach with hands and arms, and move between display cases to handle merchandise. Sit, stoop, bend, kneel or crouch as needed. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity sufficient to discern differences in gemstone quality is required. Standard workweek includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours. Travel to training sessions and business meetings, including air travel and overnight stays, may be required.
