Position Summary
Grocery Team Leader (Key Holder) at Gordon Food Service responsible for opening and closing the store, managing daily operations, maintaining merchandise quality, providing customer service, handling cash, and developing team members.
Responsibilities- Open and close the store, ensuring all systems are functional.
- Help complete daily store operations and tasks.
- Unload deliveries, organize merchandise, and transfer items from stockroom to the store.
- Maintain product rotation, proper food handling, and overall merchandise quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service, build relationships, and solve problems.
- Handle cash operations: bank deposits, change for cashiers, setting and counting registers.
- Assist in building and training the sales team.
- Operate power equipment safely as required by the store.
- 1‑2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and lift above shoulder height frequently.
- Ability to work a flexible, full‑time schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully pass pre‑employment background and drug‑screen checks.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to respond to alarm calls during non‑working hours and work shifts at other local stores if needed.
