Join our team as an Outside Account Manager at Central Steel & Wire, where you will maintain and expand our transactional business with current and past customers within the Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati territories.

Roles and Responsibilities- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with contacts at all levels within customer organizations, particularly purchasing decision makers.
- Collaborate with inside sales, credit, inventory, and other internal teams to achieve both company and customer objectives.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and provide market intelligence to sales management to inform service center sales strategies, pricing, and working capital decisions.
- Increase revenue from assigned customers by selling value‑added services, programs, and profitable transactional growth.
- Manage customer accounts, including implementing margin analysis, competitive market information, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement appropriate sales and commercial programs while promoting E‑Commerce capabilities.
- Consistently manage daily call planning to keep customers informed about industry, economic trends, and how we can assist them to adapt to change.
- Perform any other duties as assigned, with changes possible at any time and with or without notice.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (marketing, business, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of sales experience in the metals service center industry or similar industrial sales background.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and highly desired.
- Strong business acumen, excellent customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills; persuasive negotiation skills; ability to work in a team or independently.
- Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships quickly.
- A competitive, self‑motivated attitude is essential.
