Sales Support

A Carter Lumber Sales Support Associate is responsible for the success of sales by assisting the Sales Specialists and Outside Sales Representatives with general sales and service activities within the assigned region. This is accomplished by processing orders and scheduling deliveries for sales in a timely and efficient manner. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company is necessary to this position.

• Previous sales with building materials experience
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to effectively communicate with others
• Ability to participate effectively as a team member
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

• Assist Sales Specialists by entering and placing orders.
• Handle incoming services and schedule the orders accordingly.
• Work with software programs to make simple revisions or quote smaller projects.
• Ensure all sales orders are placed and delivered on time.
• Communicate with vendors for processing package, model home or conversion discounts.
• Keep lines of communication open between Sales Specialists, Outside Sales Representatives and customers to ensure services are processed accurately and timely.
• Identify personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seek to obtain product information; learn about building packages and products.
• Complete required training and development courses.
