Come be a vital member of the Speciality Sales team at Cordis! The Specialty Sales Area Manager reports directly into the Area VP of Speciality Sales and plays a pivotal role in the US Commercial launch of the Mynx Venous Closure Device, a Mid-Bore Closure Device that will compete directly with existing products on the market. In this role you will drive hyper‑growth of this novel technology within your defined geography, utilizing product knowledge, competitive intelligence, and consultative sales techniques to achieve revenue targets.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business with the Mynx Vascular Closure Franchise, focusing on the Mynx Control Venous Closure Device in Electrophysiology Labs and targeting high‑volume EP Physicians and Hospitals.
  • Lead the US Commercial launch of the Mynx Venous Closure Device and manage hyper‑growth within the assigned geography.
  • Demonstrate outstanding product and clinical knowledge, including related data, competitive product insights, and industry trends.
  • Conduct consultative sales calls with Interventional Cardiologists, EP Physicians, and EP staff, building relationships that increase account penetration and revenue growth.
  • Utilize cold calling, prospecting, and networking to expand customer satisfaction and market share.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems, applying judgment and ensuring accurate, sound reasoning in solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Cordis leadership, cross‑functional teams, and field‑based counterparts to align strategy and execution.
  • Provide customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and industry insights to Sales, Marketing, and other leadership functions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience.
  • 3+ years of medical device sales experience with a track record of exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling medical devices in EP Labs preferred.
  • Experience with Vascular Closure Devices preferred.
  • Proficiency with PC and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with virtual meeting software.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and residency within the territory.
