ManagingSales Lead – Deltek Vantagepoint
The Managing Sales Lead is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the sales team, overseeing strategic sales initiatives, coordinating and directing marketing plans, and maintaining personal and team quotas. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Aktion’s AES Division.
Roles & Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue personal and team targets
- Lead, coach, and manage sales team performance
- Oversee use of Aktion’s tools for CRM, pipeline tracking, and reporting
- Ensure accuracy of sales data, forecasting, and opportunity management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth
- Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
- Analyze sales metrics and KPIs to improve performance and conversion rates
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to align sales efforts
- Drive marketing initiatives to successfully improve the sales pipeline
- Identify and engage with target prospects in a defined territory
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle for new clients (from prospecting to closing)
- Manage current install base customers as their software and solution needs expand
- Carry Annual Sales Revenue Goal
- Update records in CRM
- Work with presales resources to demo software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5–10+ years of sales experience, above quota, including leadership responsibilities preferably with major job cost accounting software
- Experience working with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Ability to conduct effective needs analysis
- Experience in professional services industries (AEC, consulting, engineering) preferred
