As an Account Manager you'll play a critical, relationship-focused role responsible for growing, supporting, and strengthening our North America Estane TPU business. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers—deeply understanding their applications, identifying opportunities for value creation, and guiding them toward solutions that leverage Lubrizol’s engineered polymer technologies.
The Account Manager will own a portfolio of strategic accounts, expand our presence in key markets, and uncover new opportunities by translating customer needs into actionable growth strategies. This role is ideal for a sales professional who is entrepreneurial, consultative, technically curious, and motivated by building long‑term customer partnerships that drive measurable business results.
In This Role, You Will Excel In Account Management & Customer Growth- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of accounts by building strong, long‑term relationships across customer organizations.
- Develop strategic account plans that align customer needs with Lubrizol’s value proposition, technology roadmap, and growth priorities.
- Maintain and expand business within existing accounts while actively identifying cross‑sell and upsell opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and activate new business opportunities that support the Estane TPU growth strategy.
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies that address emerging market needs and drive new revenue streams.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent opportunity development and progression.
- Become a subject matter expert in TPU materials, applications, and industry dynamics.
- Educate customers on technology capabilities, market trends, and application insights through presentations, technical discussions, and collaborative sessions.
- Partner closely with R&D, marketing, and technical service teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
- Maintain deep awareness of competitive activity, market shifts, and customer program developments.
- Provide insights to internal stakeholders on product needs, pricing strategies, market conditions, and customer expectations.
- Make recommendations on product mix, sourcing, and commercial strategies; negotiate agreements to closure.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer programs are supported from concept through commercialization.
- Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, technical service, and other partners to deliver seamless customer experiences.
- Travel to customer sites to strengthen relationships and support key initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success in account management or business development.
- Experience in technical or engineered material sales, specifically in a B2B environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods.
- Working in a lab or manufacturing setting with appropriate PPE provided.
- Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional lifting or movement of materials.
- Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards.

$126,000 – $170,000. This range represents a good faith salary estimate for this position. The specific rate will be determined by variables such as education, experience, skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data and may come with additional bonus incentives.
