Job Summary
Virtual Kentucky-based role with a strong preference for candidates in Greater Louisville or Lexington, KY. The position is responsible for developing territories and driving the sales of Comcast Business strategic products and solutions in new markets, as well as acquiring and managing mid‑market and enterprise, multi‑location commercial customers through direct and partner channels.
Core Responsibilities- Develops the territory sales strategy, including identifying strategic partnerships, planning territory development, and cultivating local partnerships and organizational affiliations.
- Researches and generates new leads via cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships.
- Promotes and positions the Comcast brand within the territory.
- Builds relationships and drives alignment and regular communication between key go‑to‑market partners.
- Creates and delivers face‑to‑face sales presentations to strategic prospective clients, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Comcast products and services.
- Sales performance is measured against departmental financial and unit targets, aiming to exceed them.
- Stays abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to position Comcast Business Services effectively in the marketplace.
- Retains the customer base by delivering on the Comcast credo and ensuring a superior customer experience.
- Maintains and builds customer relationships to drive customer retention.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Maintains accurate sales records and prepares activity reports as required.
- Attends out‑of‑office meetings with customers, demonstrating excellent verbal and written skills, including presenting, persuading, and negotiating.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Network Design, SD‑WAN, Network Security, MAN technologies (WDM, Ethernet, Internet Technologies, Voice Network Technologies), VPN, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance, with consistent punctual attendance.
- Makes the necessary work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as required.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in direct selling, managed services, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred), though extensive related professional experience may also be considered.
- Proficiency in cold calling, communication, direct selling, and managed services.
- Relevant certifications (if applicable).
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with mid‑market and enterprise customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present, persuade, and negotiate.
- Knowledge of networking technologies (SD‑WAN, VPN, Ethernet, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong independent judgment, reliability, and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
