Job Title: Senior Retirement Plan Consultant
Location: Remote – Indiana / Kentucky

Role Summary

The Senior Retirement Plan Consultant will represent Mutual of America Financial Group in a sales and marketing capacity to clients and prospects in an assigned territory with an emphasis on soliciting new group takeover plans and cross‑selling other products. The role reports to the Regional Vice President and works as part of a dedicated team of Retirement Plan Specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Setting qualified appointments with Plan Sponsors of 401(k) and 403(b) plans through multiple strategies, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Working within a geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross‑sell solutions, and reach and exceed goals by closing deals.
  • Attending client review meetings with the Customer Relationship Manager for the top five to ten clients in the territory to position the role for introductions and to serve as a reference for sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience with proven efficiency in selling, presenting, prospecting, and territory management.
  • Knowledge of retirement products (401(k) and 403(b) plans).
  • Driven to make outbound cold calls into prospective clients.
  • Demonstrated cold‑calling sales ability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can work independently.
  • Strong relationship‑management building skills.
  • Active FINRA Series 6, 63, and SIE license or ability to obtain within the first 180 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Salary Range

Base Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000. The role is also eligible for quarterly commissions (uncapped), allowing total compensation to exceed this range depending on individual and/or company performance.
