Purchasing Procurement Specialist IT goods

Job Description

BES is seeking a Purchasing Procurement Specialist for IT goods, products, and services.

• This individual must understand computer technology products, understand the needs and expectations of customers and the willingness to build loyal relationships with accounts.
• This role requires significant interaction with clients over the telephone and via email, so willingness to work in an office environment is a must.
• Must be clean cut and have reliable transportation.
• Must have strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
• Must be highly customer focused and understand the needs of the business.
• Must have solid understanding of computer technology and willingness to learn.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be detail oriented: quality and precision-focused, must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take required technology exams & certifications as needed by company.
• Applying knowledge of BES and partner product offerings to propose technology solutions and value propositions to customers.
• Ability to support sales team in a pre/post sales technical role.
• Assist with inner office projects as needed, must be team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

• Looking up computer parts, building PC and server configurations online using manufacturer configuration tools.
• Prepare quotes and purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, placing orders with suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders, resolving shipment errors and RMAs with suppliers.
• Researching/locating software applications and building customer quotes.
• Preferred experience working with technology distributors and technology purchasing experience.
• Maintain contact with vendors, obtain quotations, examine bids.
