Field Sales Account Manager – Northern Ohio
McKesson’s Extended Care Sales Team is looking for a field sales professional to support Post‑Acute Care customers in Northern Ohio. This role requires the incumbent to currently reside in the area with a preference for Cleveland. Candidates must have familiarity with the Post‑Acute Care community in the region.
About the RoleAs an Account Manager, you’ll be the trusted advisor for long‑term care, home health, and hospice providers—helping them access the industry’s largest portfolio of medical supplies and equipment and driving growth by identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and delivering consultative solutions that improve patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do- Manage and grow a portfolio of Post‑Acute Care customers.
- Prospect and cold‑call to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct business reviews and deliver consultative sales presentations.
- Maintain effective agreements and secure product distribution.
- Partner with senior reps or leadership on complex accounts.
- 4+ years of sales experience.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. A 7‑year Motor Vehicle Record Check will be conducted during background screening.
- Proven success selling to long‑term care, home health, hospice, DME, or wound‑care providers.
- Strong cold‑calling and prospecting abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to grow and retain customer accounts.
- Consistent achievement of sales goals.
- Experience with consultative selling and business reviews.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
- Experience in healthcare distribution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public‑speaking experience is a plus.
- Organized, self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and eager to grow professionally.
- Initiative‑driven attitude.
Home office setup with frequent travel (minimal overnight travel). Significant time spent on phone and computer‑based work.
EducationHigh School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field strongly preferred (or equivalent experience).
BenefitsCompetitive compensation package as part of our Total Rewards program. Base pay plus target incentive. The pay range shown is $120,800 – $201,400 for Total Target Cash (TTC).
