Job Description
The Rental Sales Representative is responsible for acting as the front line sales agent for the rental of vehicles to the Company’s current lease and commercial rental accounts as well as potential commercial rental customers. This requires the Rental Representative to work cross‑functionally across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Asset Management while utilizing excellent customer communication skills.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Taylor, MI
Responsibilities- Sales & Marketing: handle sales and the sales process for inbound calls and outbound solicitation; execute the business unit’s marketing plan; maintain accurate data within the company’s marketing database; maximize rate opportunities within the marketplace; generate rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads; maintain and expand relationships with the existing customer base; coordinate inventory levels to meet demand; achieve overall Ryder market share through sales and marketing initiatives.
- Operations & Asset Management: manage overall profitable operations and asset management of a rental location; coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction; maintain regulatory compliance; maximize utilization of the rental fleet.
- Customer: drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships; ensure satisfaction for all internal and external customers; reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes.
- Communication: build constructive relationships with internal and external customers; maintain composure during stressful situations; clearly articulate Ryder’s product and service offerings.
- Perform on‑call duties on a voluntary basis and as needed based on supervisory scheduling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year or more sales experience required.

- Hourly: $21.00 per hour.
